ACIIA Vice President II

He is currently the Governor and Vice President 1 of the Institute of Internal Auditors Malaysia. 

Derek is the newly elected Vice President II of the Asian Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors , providing leadership in professional standards, governance, and member development.

In addition to his professional leadership roles, Derek is the Founder and Principal Advisor of Windwalker Advisory Sdn. Bhd., where he advises boards and senior executives on governance, risk, resilience, and strategic execution.

Derek has 33 years of experience in Board Advisory, Strategic Planning and Execution, Risk Optimization and Action Planning, Corporate and Organizational Governance, IPO Advisory, and Business Transformation.

Derek holds certifications as a CIA, CRMA, CBCI, Chartered Accountant, and CPA.
