Michael is a Partner and Advisory Services Practice Leader, and the Knowledge Management Head of Punongbayan & Araullo (P&A Grant Thornton). From 2014-2019, he served as the Asia Pacific Leader for Business Risk Services of Grant Thornton. Michael specializes in business risk advisory and has been involved in various work involving strategy and sustainability, governance, risk and compliance, internal audit and controls, learning and human capital development, and transaction advisory in the Philippines and the Asia Pacific region. In 2017, the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants honored Michael as the Most Outstanding CPA in Public Practice. He is the 2017 chairperson and president of the Institute of Internal Auditors Philippines. Michael completed his Executive Education in International Management jointly with the Stanford Graduate School of Business (US), INSEAD (France), and EGADE Tec de Monterrey (Mexico). He also finished the Management Development Program of the Asian Institute of Management and the Professional Directors Program of the Institute of Corporate Directors. Michael earned his Bachelor of
Science in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting, from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila.
