ACIIA Deputy President

Ian is the 2026–2027 Deputy President of the Asian Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors, where he previously held other Executive Committee positions. He served as the 2018 Chairman and President of the Institute of Internal Auditors Philippines. He is currently a member of the Internal Audit Foundation’s Committee of Research and Education Advisors and a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors’ Global Audit Committee Center.

 

Ian serves as the SGV Risk Consulting Leader and EY Asean Core Consulting Quality Leader. He is a recognized professional in internal audit, internal controls, enterprise risk management, compliance management, corporate governance, and sustainability reporting. His clients span across key sectors, including financial services, consumer products, manufacturing, telecommunications, mining, real estate, and government and infrastructure.

 

Ian graduated cum laude from the University of Santo Tomas in 1996 with a degree in Accountancy. He is a Certified Public Accountant, ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Fraud Examiner, Accredited Internal Audit Quality Assessor, Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialist, and Certified Sustainability Reporting Assurer, and holds a Certification in Risk Management Assurance. He completed the Executive Development Program in May 2013 and the Corporate Governance: Maximize Your Effectiveness in the Boardroom program in June 2024, both at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
